UST COLLEGE OF EDUCATION RECOGNIZED BY AMERICAN NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION
The College was honored by an American nonprofit organization for its partnership programs on special education together with the said group.
The College of Education has been an active player in the foundation’s projects and activities through its volunteer faculty and students from the Special Education program.
The Starkey Hearing Foundation awarded the “Excellence in Partnership” award to the College of Education last December 17. College Dean Dr. Allan de Guzman received the award.
The College’s receipt of the award coincided with UST honoring Starkey Hearing Foundation President William Franklin Austin with the UST Golden Cross award.
In celebration of the University’s quadricentennial celebration in 2011, the foundation distributed more than 4,000 hearing aids in the country through UST’s “400 years, 4,000 ears” project.
